My 67 Camaro

I thought since this blog is about my thoughts, opinions and feelings it should include my main interest; my car! I own a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. I've had it stashed in the garage since I bought it off eBay 2+ years ago. I've always had a strong interest in antique automobiles and the Camaro has always been my favorite.

Unfortunately my Camaro shows it's age with a faded interior and a heavily cracked paint. The car was baked in a Californian field for several years causing it to suffer the wrath of the sun. I've already spent some time getting the interior back into shape but I need a spray booth before she'll be set to ride with her collectable brothers and sisters.

I've got an original straight six engine in it now but it needs a serious upgrade. The six offers decent low speed acceleration but really isn't cut out to drive a car of this weight, at least not at the speeds it deserves to go. I've been trying to decide if I want to buy a rebuilt engine or buy a scrapper and rebuild it myself. I would love to learn a little more by building it myself, but at the same time having a warranty would be nice too. I haven't got the cash flow for any restoration right now, so I have lots of time to weigh my options.

The only thing I know for sure is that I've got a classic car and some day she will be worth her weight in dollars. I look forward to spending more time(and moneybuilding my Camaro. Hmmm I wonder if I could convince Chip Foose to overhaul my car.
