I don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of all the online know-it-all haters. People just sit at home for hours and hours writing useless negative feedback on even the best articles. It doesn't even stop with articles as people will post idiotic comments on blogs, videos, reviews and tutorials. Virtually any kind of user submitted content is at one time or another, going to get bashed by some flamer on the internet. I'll give you an example. Lets say that you decide to create a Youtube video of your family building a snowman. The first few comments by random strangers will say "wow nice snowman" or "good family video." However there will always be some jerk-off who has to say something negative like "that's the ugliest snowman ever" or "you don't put the carrot there you LOSERS" or even "its so shaky, sell that piece of crap camera."
I have tried to understand that maybe these people have nothing better to do or that they are just negative people. Or is it that they are just at a low intelligence level and do it to make themselves feel better. Obviously some snow people can look better than others; the carrot can go anywhere you want and because its just a family fun video you didn't crack out the tripod. I wish the madness would all stop, but I hope that these people are getting some sort of satisfaction out of it so that it isn't all for nothing. If someone makes a real attempt to research and put together a unique piece of information... nobody should have the right too trash them. The issue there is that the "trasher" probably has never written a helpful thing in his/her useless life, as they spend their time trying to correct someone else.
Free speech is one thing but we need to develop an online etiquette. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all!
